In room 5 we were doing work around James and the giant peach by Roald Dahl and we had a description of James aunts and had to draw what we think they look like.

Olympic Rings and Flame

We have been doing some work around the Olympics and we had to do a learn create share. The learning was to find out the answer's to some question, create was making a comic strip and share was to post it to our blog. Here is what I made.

The best olympics ever

The best olympics ever We are on the plane it is 5 in the morning to get to Rio so we can get ready for the unicorn olympics. We are waiting because there is something wrong with the plane so there is a 5 hour wait to fix it even though we need to be in rio by ll am. So we have been waiting for what seems like forever and we are so worried we won't make it on time. “OH MY GOD!”, said Eloise the planes moving “YAY” me and Sienna shout. “You will reach rio in 30 minutes”, the plane pilot says on the speaker. But then 5 minutes later the plane stops again and the plane pilot announces “sorry there will be another 10 minute delay.” “NOOOO!”, we all shout at the same time. Sienna looks out the window and sees all of our unicorns flying towards the plane, “Malaika and Eloise, look its our unicorns.” We go and open the plane door and leap onto our unicorns close the plane door and fly away. We are almost there to the stadium we can see a giant statue of a man with his arms out and heaps of tall buildings. When we reach the stadium we check in and tell them that we are here and this friendly looking lady leads us to the practice/uniforms room. We see our uniforms hanging from our locker and they look so pretty there pink and blue and sparkly with a picture of a unicorn on it that is pink and has a golden sparkly. So we get our practice uniforms and gear and start practicing for tomorrow. After 4 hours of long practice we pack up and get ready to go to the hotel. The hotel is fabulous there's heaps of pretty lights and there is a waitress giving out free donuts to everyone who just came in. We check in to the hotel and go to our room. Our room is even better there are 3 bed and unicorn paintings and a pyramid of donuts, fairy lights and a bunny petting zoo. “ BEST HOTEL EVER” we all shout. So we get ready to go to sleep a couple of minutes after dinner. The next day we wake up like about 3 am in the morning and head over to the stadium. We get our actual uniforms on and practise for 5 hours straight and then we go out and get something to eat After eating we go back and this time almost half of the unicorn olympic players are there. A few hours later “The unicorn olympics have begun,” says the host. “First up we have Sienna Grace doing trampolining on her unicorn Mini donut.” “Next up we have Eloise Champion doing unicorn flying on her unicorn Fluffy junior”. “Lastly we have Malaika Live doing unicorn riding on her unicorn Mini muffin.” “Time for the results 1st place in trampolining, flying and riding goes to Malaika, Sienna and Eloise, CONGRATULATIONS!”. “YAY” we all scream. “ This is the best olympics ever.”

Kerri Gowler

Kerri Gowler is a rower she started rowing in 2009 her coach is Dave Thompson. Kerri is partnered up with Grace Prendergast.

When Kerri was at World rowing Championships women's pair in 2015 she got silver and also for world Rowing Championships women's eight she got silver but in 2014 she got a gold medal for both championships which was World Rowing Championships women's four and women's pair.

Kerri Gowler is 22 years old and was born on 18 December 1993.

The place she was born in is called Raetihi, Manawatu, Wanganui. Her height is 182cm and she went to Nga Tawa Diocesan school.

Although Kerri does Rowing she also like show jumping which are horse shows and likes to see her family sheep. She also likes to go to her beef farm which is a cow farm.

I think Kerri Gowler will do really good in the Olympics and would get a gold or a silver medal.

In reading we had to collect data about how many times every 2 weeks people in room 5 have takeaways. Then we had to create a newspaper article about takeaways using the data to tell everyone why you shouldn't have so much takeaways.

Comic strip about sleep

In room 5 we had to make a comic strip about what would happen if we didn't get enough sleep and what would happen if we did get enough sleep.
